The Mental Edge technique for sports rehabilitation allows athletes to navigate through injuries and health conditions proactively so that they can return to their practice and game quickly and effectively. This programme has been designed for the professional athlete, but works powerfully for anyone from amateur to weekend warrior to career players. Mental Edge for Sports Rehab will build your resilience, motivation, and confidence, while targeting key areas of mindset: creating positive routines, overcoming fear of failure, managing complex mindset triggers, developing strong goals and eliminating mental barriers. Mindset coaching is a proven and critical component of sports rehabilitation. Athletes who undergo mindset interventions such as Mental Edge are shown to recover more quickly and return to their sport at a higher level of performance than those without similar support.

The Mental Edge technique enhances the surgical experience by helping patients proactively manage both the psychological and physical aspects of surgery. This program is beneficial for individuals undergoing any level of surgical procedure. It equips them with tools to handle pre-surgical anxiety and nervousness, while building resilience and confidence to laying the foundation for the post-surgery recovery. Post surgery coaching helps you to establish necessary routines, navigate through frustrations and setbacks, and ultimately thrive in your journey back to health. By developing and fostering a mindset that supports quicker and more comprehensive recovery, surgery patients are able to feel empowered by the process and create skills such as stress reduction, emotional resilience, and focused goal-setting.

The Mental Edge program uniquely supports dancers dealing with injuries by addressing the specific mental and emotional challenges associated with dance performance, rehearsal and training. This approach aids dancers in navigating the recovery process with a focus on mental and emotional strength and clarity. Through concrete exercises and conditioning dancers can achieve a faster and more confident return to their art. The programme includes managing pain, performance pressure, fear of re-injury, and identity concerns during rehabilitation, It not only accelerates physical recovery but also reinforces a dancer’s mental fortitude against future challenges. Specialising in the unique attitude and outlook of dancers, there is currently no other programme that offers the same insight and practical tools to support you effectively through your recovery journey.

ABOUT

MY STORY

Maddy Woolf is a former professional dancer who now works internationally as a mindset coach. Specialising in Mind/Body treatment, Maddy’s unique blend of coaching techniques were developed from her elite athletic training, and her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Life Coaching and Counselling. Maddy is the Mindset Coach at ILAB, the in-house wellness programme for The Institute for Spine and Scoliosis, for ASC, supporting patients through life-changing scoliosis surgery,  is the founder and lead practitioner of LifeChanger Coaching, helping people through major life changes, and has coached athletes physically and mentally for 20 years to help them develop their a-game and achieve success.

The Mental Edge technique was developed as a culmination of her mindset coaching practice. Supported by decades of research and science-led studies, Maddy has seen first hand how a strong mindset can radically improve medical outcomes, performance ability, physical health, and life success. The technique uses concrete exercises, evidence based strategies, and proactive goal oriented frameworks to make tangible changes.

LEVERAGING YOUR MINDSET WITH MENTAL EDGE CAN  DRAMATICALLY BOOST YOUR PHYSICAL RECOVERY AND PERFORMANCE

Mental Edge is offered as an 8 week programme, with extensions available as required (client led). The Pre/Post surgery programme consists of 4 pre and 4 post surgery sessions, with a break in between tailored to the requirements and recovery plan of the specific surgery.

Flexible payment plans are available.

Maddy works across all time zones.

Sessions are carried out online through live video calls.

Mental Edge is designed to be incorporated into your health care programme, and is not intended to replace physical therapy but to enhance the recovery process. Mindset coaching has been proven to radically improve the recovery and rehabilitation experience.
